Our Rig Our Life

We’d like to share our favorite gear and equipment, both for RVing and Exploring.  This section could include Grills, Chairs, GPS Systems, Scopes, Binoculars, Radios.  We’ll include anything that makes our life, full-time on the road, better, easier and enjoyable. Our Motorhome is a 2016 Newmar Ventana LE 3709, Class A Diesel pusher (engine in the back).  Fully loaded, it weighs approximately 32,000 lbs.  It is the exact model, floorplan, and colors we sought when shopping.  We drove 270 miles to look at it and committed right on the spot. It took us several months to find it so we were ready. We lived in the motorhome for the first 7 months, stationary to learn what we didn’t know and tie up the loose ends with our jobs before converting to remote.

We currently tow a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JKU Sport using Blue Ox Tow Bar and Tow Bracket.  It weighs approximately 5,500 lbs., and we are able to tow 10,000.  We have detached when driving over mountains where grades are 8% or greater.  At 10%, we can go about 25 mph.

We were long time Atlantans before the RV Life.  Now we travel to 7-8 states per year where we stay two weeks or more.  We winter in Florida each year for 3 months, gladly!  We really enjoy the West, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico.  Future trips include Canada, Alaska, the Northeast, and Nova Scotia.
